is CHECKERBOARD my new CAMO?
Lately, I’ve been treating checkerboard the way I’ve always treated camo — as a grounding print that plays well with everything else. It’s fun to wear, a little unexpected, and honestly pretty unique. I don’t see it out and about much, especially in my age group, which makes it even more appealing. I love the graphicness of the pattern — it’s quietly bold and has become a real go-to for me this fall. Sharing a few fits with Ms. Checkerboard here.

This one belongs here. Because… hello, basketball shorts — an actual new style in my wardrobe. Worn to a long-anticipated visit to Daeji Dough Co., these Abakada shorts (founded and designed by two Filipino friends 🖤🖤) carried the whole energy of the day. Unique, playful, and straight-up easy, they grounded the fit while the other pieces stayed quiet in the best way.
