MUSE run : DAEJI Dough Co, Lakeview

Lakeview got a very fun new neighbor this fall - Daeji Dough Co., a Korean bakery that’s already pulling in a steady crowd for good reason. I honestly think this neighborhood in particular has been hungry for more diversity and culture, and Daeji Dough Co. delivers exactly that. Their pastry lineup hits that perfect “familiar but with a twist” thing: bulgogi mushroom focaccia, a tteokbokki croissant that absolutely should not work but does, and my personal joy… iced matcha right into fall. Their Kiki’s Magic Matcha with black sesame? oh man, fully addictive.

The space has that bright, welcoming, morning-hang energy. Everyone’s curious, everyone’s happy, and everything smells like butter and aw & ambition lol. It’s exactly the kind of spot that feels like it’s going to become a neighborhood staple.

Pro tip: go early. The pastries move fast…as in, gone within a couple of hours fast.

this was the last smoked brisket roll and I think it was only 10am. DELISH! a meal in itself 👅

no words for the black sesame matcha 🖤

And now… the fit.
One of my absolute favorites this fall: my Abakada basketball shorts!

I said this in my OOTD post and it still tracks — the vibe was new-style-in-my-wardrobe, bringing a fresh twist to the neighborhood. The shorts carried the whole look with this playful, unexpected energy that somehow made perfect sense for a Korean bakery run. A little sporty, a little editorial, totally me :)))

WHAT WAS I THINKING » I knew exactly what I was going to wear today. I loved this fit from the week before and perfect for the trip to the new korean bakery…it was cool & rainy so switched up the tee for a low key graphic sweatshirt (Saturdays NYC, similar here)+ beanie + vintage turquoise ring, mom’s pearls.
