MUSE run : the OTHER Art Fair, Lakeview
I headed over to The Other Art Fair in Lakeview, and honestly, this venue still gets me every time. Artifacts Event Space — the old Architectural Artifacts spot — is one of the most unique, beautiful spaces in the city. I’ve shot there a couple times back when it was packed with the most unique, turn-of-the-century pieces, and even emptied out, the place still has that same magic.
The fair itself was such a good time — so many interesting artists from all over the country and the world. The whole energy feels like an exciting hunt; you never know what kind of work you’ll run into or what unexpected piece will pull you in. And honestly, chatting with the artists is more than half the fun — you learn so much just hearing how they think and what sparked their work.
oh nice! Fat Milk popping up there…vietnamese coffee 🖤
art events = best people watching & style inspo 🖤
so fun! art table 🖤
And of course, here’s my FIT CHK & WHAT WAS I THINKING moment — my usual breakdown of what I wore and how my style brain put it together, giving you a lived-in, thoughtful, stylish take on getting dressed.
FIT CHK» Sun afternoon, 69 degrees, art fair Lakeview, Chicago
Vintage Nike sweatshirt (Beacon’s Closet) similar here, DL1961 high waist cropped raw hem white denim, Paul Smith navy camo wool overcoat, Caddis Hooper readers, LV Alma epi leather satchel, furry sandals handmade, local boutique in CDMX. mom’s pearls, David Yurman thumb ring.
WHAT WAS I THINKING » sunday & absolutely gorgeous out so Im going cozy comfy. It’s an art event so the fit is very intentional with the white denim, the printed overcoat & my accessory choices. went with the (furry) sandals, two reasons …playful & unique for an art event & also celebrating that fab weather by going with sandals.
